The Gate Streets are the heart of your journey through a 100 years of vintage motoring, from the birth of the combustion engine through the glamour of 50s chrome, to the classic designs of the swinging 60s, groovy 70s, futuristic 80s and beyond!
WHAT'S ON
Northgate street - 1900-1949
Travel back to the dawn of motoring with a fascinating display of vehicles from 1900 to 1949. Showcasing everything from pioneering early automobiles to elegant pre-war classics, these historic cars tell the story of how transport transformed over the first half of the 20th century.
Eastgate Street - 1950-1959
Admire a stunning collection of 1950s classic cars. From sleek chrome detailing to iconic tail fins, these beautiful vehicles capture the style, optimism and innovation of a golden age of motoring.
westgate street - the swinging sixties
On this stylish street, groove into the 1960s, teaming with iconic cars from the era and flower power fashions on display.
The Cotton Owners and Enthusiasts Club will be displaying a range of Cotton motorcycles in Westgate Street, near to where they were manufactured. You can expect to see pre-war models with their famous triangulated frame, post-war trials and sports bikes and a rare example from the Scottish International Six Day Trial (ISDT).
SOUTHGATE Street - 1970s-now
Don those flares and get your jive on as you explore classic 70s cars. Or go full 'Stranger Things' with autos from 80s.
Then jump back into the era of Cool Britannia for a big punch of nostalgia, with displays of cars that might've been your first (and obviously favourite).
All cars will be available to peruse from 10am on Saturday 29 August.
